  • Hooked up the flight controller to PC and ran XPlane 12 with HITL.

  • This first flight ironed out multiple kinks with the way the aircraft was set up.

    • The heirarchy of modes and how we configured it meant that it was impossible to get the aircraft to fly in loiter mode. This has now been fixed.

    • RTH coordinates seem to be logged on the actual FC, which is why no matter where you simulate the aircraft in the world, it will try to fly to Adelaide in RTH mode. This is because the home coordinates are logged on the FC using the real GPS.

    • Tuning works alright for the simulated wing aircraft, unsure if the PIDs and settings will work well on Dolphin Pro.

  • We still have not managed to do auto-launch.
